Hello, hello!

The waiting is over people! XO, Kitty season 2 is finally here!

After a chaotic season 1 in which we witnessed Kitty have her heart broken by Dae, falling for Yuri, and eventually, Minho confessing his feelings on the plane right before the season ends… now it’s time to see the aftermath.

With Yuri’s help, Kitty is able to return to KISS to finish the Spring semester after their vacation. Things with Minho are awkward since she turned him down on the plane ( girl, seriously? ) and Kitty definitely still has feelings for Yuri. Dae, still likes Kitty and Yuri is happier than ever with Julianna, her girlfriend. Trying to get over Yuri, Kitty starts hanging out with another girl from school, Praveena. Meanwhile, Minho starts also dating a new classmate, Stella, a sweet ( too sweet ) girl from Ohio.

While Kitty tries to find her family who are in a small town near Seoul, she notices that Stella might not be who she claims to be. Apparently, she wants revenge on Minho’s father because he did not pass her on a reality show because she wasn’t pretty enough. Kitty tries to find what really she’s up to, but Stella is too clever.

Just before a trip to Minho’s winter house, Yuri kisses Kitty and when they arrive there chaos is released when the letter Kitty wrote for Yuri ends up in the wrong hands. Yuri and Julianna break up when the latest finds out about the kiss. Kitty, finds out the truth about Stella and informs Minho who – still heartbroken – chooses not to believe her.

Kitty has a surprise guest, and if you didn’t scream when we show Peter Kavinsky ( from the original movies of the show, “To All The Boys I Loved Before” ) you’re lying.! Peter, meets Minho and he is convinced that not only does he still like Kitty, but that he is in love with her. Minho helps her to meet with her Korean family and Yuri takes things into her own hands when they refuse to meet Kitty.

When some really well-hidden secrets of Minho’s family are published by an anonymous account, Minho figures out that Kitty was right about Stella, but she blackmails him to help her get what she wants. Kitty with Dae and Q, finds out that something is wrong with him and Kitty asks him about Stella. Minho confirms the truth and she insists on talking to his dad. Eventually, Mr. Moon finds everything and manages to save the day, with Kitty’s help.

The second season ends with Kitty having feelings for Minho, not being sure about what he thinks about the matter since he had told her that he got over her. But, at the last minute, while Minho tells her that he will spend the summer with his dad on his brother’s tour, she asks him to go with him and he agrees.

My thoughts:

Where on earth is my Minho/Kitty kiss?? Why the writers are so cruel? I understand that it should be a slow burn, but at least let Kitty see it in her dreams. Anyways…

I found this season more interesting than the first one. I liked that Kitty was trying to find her family and the plot with Stella was a nice twist. I didn’t like this girl not even a little bit ( well done to the actress ). A nice touch to the new season was also Minho’s relationship with his dad.

I didn’t enjoy 100% the chaos on who’s like who… but ok, a series needs a little bit of drama ( I guess… ). Also, the whole music competition seemed a little bit off from the plot, ( to me ) but it was a way to include Mr. Moon in the storyline.

Something else that I liked, is Q’s new boyfriend. Maybe the dude was a little bit of an asshole in the begining, but he really likes Q, so… I forgive him. They handled the situation between Dae and Minho pretty well when Dae found out about Minho’s feelings for Kitty. He got mad, he took his time… and when he was ready he talked with his friend and everything went well. ( Those things are rare in tv shows people ).

They could give us that damn kiss between Kitty and Minho, but they had some pretty awesome scenes and the writers made it pretty obvious that he’s her endgame, so… I’ll just wait. ( If they don’t renew the series, we riot people!! )

It’s a 7.5/10 from me.
