Weekly Update: 2nd week of October 2019

Hello – hello my little faces and have a lovely Sunday. Let’s see what I watched this week.

THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS.

Batwoman ( 1×01 )
Ok, the series premiere of Batwoman was really good. We have been introduced to all the important characters of the show and to Kate Kane’s / Batwoman ( Ruby Rose ) backstory. We didn’t learn everything but we got an idea for what’s going on. We saw that she broke up with her girlfriend Sophie Moore ( Meagan Tandy ) because the army doesn’t approve homosexual couples and how she lost her mom and sister Beth ( Rachel Skarsten ) to a car crash. She came back to save Sophie when the city’s new psycho abducted her and Mary ( Nicole Kang ) called her to inform her. Mary’s mom and Kate’s dad got married 10 years ago ( If I got it right ) and she’s study medicine. She also has an illegal clinic in which she helps people who can’t afford medical care. Kate’s dad and Sophie’s boss,  Jacob Kane ( Dougray Scott ) is the leader of an organization who he created in order to protect Gotham ( something like private police ). Kate found Batman’s ( who is her cousin ) Batcave and Luke Fox ( Camrus Johnson ) helped her to do her first appearance as the new hero of the town. I guess he’s something like what Alfred was for Bruce. Just before the episode ends, we also figured out ( and Kate as well ) that Alice is actually Beth. The sister that she thought was dead for 15 years.!

Riverdale ( 4×01 )
The season premiere was heartbreaking. After Luke Perry’s death ( he was playing, Fred Andrews ) the writers made the episode a tribute to him and his character. For the sake of the series, Fred was out of town and on his way home stopped to help someone with a flat tire and another car hit him and left him there to die. The person Fred stopped in order to help her was no other than his co-star on Beverly Hills, 90210 and his real-life best friend Shannen Doherty. Archie found out the truth about his dad’s death, figuring out that the person that hit his dad was a teen who had took the car without permission and he vowed to honor Fred’s memory. I cried so much you guys. I haven’t finish Beverly Hills, but his character is my favorite and Fred Andrews was such a great father figure that I feel like I lost someone close to me. It’s more difficult because the actor actually died. We’ll not have the chance to see him on another role, to grow old, giving us more “memories”… It’s a shame because he had so much more to give… RIP Luke Perry.

Her Yerde Sen ( Ep17 )
After Selin took Eylul to the hospital because she had an asthma attack, she takes her to her home in order to eat something and feel better before goes home. At the same time, Demir returns home as well to see Selin and Eylul finds out that the girl that Demir dates is Selin and not Ayda as she thought. Selin asks him to go Eylul home and there, both have a conversation about #SelDem. Demir informs Eylul that he’s in love with Selin and she tells him that the only thing that she wants is for him to be happy ( do we trust her though? I’m not sure ). Selin arranges a boat date and with Demir spend time together having dinner and watching the sunset while they’re cuddling ( kissing included ). Demir has a “daydream” about Selin’s reaction if he tells her about Eylul being his ex-fiancee and afraid that he will lose her doesn’t tell her anything ( aww Demir… that’s so much worse ). Burak and Eylul spend some time together and he seems to flirt with her. Selin makes breakfast for Demir but she used chilly peppers on the sandwiches ( by accident ) and while the poor girl was on fire Demir kissed her again ( on the fandom we call it the “spicy kiss” ). Merve has huge problems with her wedding with Bora. He wants to stay out of the town with his family while they’re hating Merve. She has a break down at the office and Demir takes the matters to his own hands. He takes out of the company in order to relax and then he takes her to Vedat to help her clear her head ( #Verve is on its way people!! ). Demir preppers a surprise for Selin at home, including her passion for photography and their need to make the home theirs. Ibo introduces his best to Ayda and she figures out that in fact that girl was also Ibo’s ex-girlfriend and goes mad. Vedat shows to Demir and Ibo the #SelDem pic that he has on his phone ( my one and only king of the ship ) and Demir takes it to complete his surprise for Selin. Eylul and Selin go to meet with a client but because of a storm have to stay there all night. Demir is terrified that Eylul will tell the truth to Selin and everything will go to hell.

Hawaii five – 0 ( 10×03 )
I totally adore the new character, Quinn Liu ( Katrina Law ). Katrina is an actress that I really admire and I’m so happy that she is now a part of a show that I adore as well. Quinn is badass, smart and loyal… something that Steve admires and that’s why he asked her to become a member of Taskforce 5-0. Quinn of course accepted but someone put fake evidence on my girl’s apartment and her military unit arrested her. Something that made Steve mad as hell! ( No one has the right to treat his girl that way – wink wink – ).

I also watched:  Her Yerde Sen ( Ep16 ), Raising Dion ( 1×01 – 1×09 ), Afili Ask ( Ep16 ), Hawaii five – 0 ( 10×02 ), Sanditon ( 1×01 – 1×07 ), The Flash ( 6×01 ), Chicago FIRE ( 8×03 ), Chicago PD ( 7×03 ), The walking dead ( 10×01 ), Supernatural ( 15×01 ), Legacies ( 2×01 ), Charmed ( 2×01 ).
