Summer Villa ( 2016 )

Hello there my lovely, adorable little faces. I know – I know… You missed me ( probably not ) but I’m still out of town with no access on the internet ( I’m writing you from the small cafe that I’m working for summer ) but I’ll be back at home in a couple of days so everything will be back to normal. Until then though, I will write you about one of the sweetest movies that I watched this summer.

Summer Villa is a Hallmark movie. First of all, I have to confess that I’m a Hallmark junkie. I love almost every movie that this channel has made. Now, to the story.

Terry Russell ( Hilarie Burton ) is a famous rom-com writer but she has no romance at her life. That’s why Leslie, her editor, set her up with Matthew Everston ( Victor Webster ). Matthew isn’t only Leslie’s bother but a famous chef as well but the date goes to Hell. After that, and in order to help Terry to stop being blocked and write her novel, Leslie gives her the keys to her house in France to go for summer vacation with her daughter, Abby ( Emorphia Margaritis ). Leslie has no idea that Matthew has the same idea for himself though.

Now, the three of them have to stay under the same roof for the whole summer, in France. Things become more interesting when another famous chef, Jean Luc ( Jocelin Haas ), starts flirting with Terry. Will Matthew accept Jean Luc’s challenge for the cooking competition?

My thoughts…

This movie is really sweet, all the Hallmark movies are sweet but this one is a little bit more. Two of my favourite things are including, writing and cooking and Burton and Webster’s chemistry is on point. Includes the perfect amount of sweet and funny scenes to make you feel nice without being bored.

I adored the bonding between Webster and Margaritis’ characters and how they tried to show us how a teenager can find their true calling without even know it. Also, this movie made me wanna travel to France without even showing us anything from the country.

I totally recommend it to you guys. Let me know if you’ll watch it.

Don’t forget to tell me what you think about the post in the comments below. Until next time…

xx Marilita.
