TV JUNKIE

Dangerous romance: review

The series is a Thai production of 2023.

The story follows two main characters, Sailom ( Chimon ) and Kanghman ( Perth ) and their friends. They are all students at a private high school in which Sailom has a scholarship since he is a great student. Unlike Kanghman and the others, Sailom is very poor and tries his best to make a living and help his brother with their debt.

When Sailom’s friends start being bullied by Kanghman and his friends, Sailom takes action and tries to make them pay. The principal informs Kanghman’s family since he wants to blame Sailom for everything but Kanghman’s grandma thinks definitely. She knows the truth and to give a lesson to her grandson she has a plan.
She offers a huge amount of money to Sailom to become Kanghman’s private tutor and even if he rejects the offer at first, his brother’s debt makes him agree in the end.

As the episodes pass we see that they both start changing and especially Kanghman’s behaviour starts being totally different from before. From enemies, they start becoming friends and even more than that.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

I liked the fact that even if Sailom had been in love with Kanghman since they were kids he tried to not be blinded by his behavior. I also liked the friendships between the guys and how they stick together.
Something that they could probably handle a little bit differently is the way that Kanghman’s behavior changed since it was way too quickly. I’d like to see him becoming nicer slowly but I’m still ok.

The second ship was kinda ok as well but I’d like to see more about them. In conclusion is a nice series to watch and Chimon and Perth’s chemistry.

It’s a 7.5/10 from me.

Until next time…

xx Marilita.
