Hey there little faces. I hope that you’re having an awesome day. Yesterday I went to the cinema with my movie mate, Artemis, and we watched Venom. Truth be told is that we were more excited to see Tom. You see, most of the movie critics have already said that the movie sucked and it could definitely be better, long story short, we stayed for Venom.

The movie not only wasn’t bad but it was probably one of the greatest of Marvel. Tom Hardy did an excellent job and the effects were so on point that you really thought that Venom ( and his friends ) were real. But let’s talk about the movie a little bit.

The story.

Eddie Brock ( Tom Hardy ) is a successful reporter with his own tv show and truly happy with his fiance, lawyer Anne Weying ( Michelle Williams ). When his boss asks him to take an interview from the youngest successful billionaire, Carlton Drake ( Riz Ahmed ) his task is simple. “Stay on the questions and don’t make a mess.” The thing is that he can’t do this and after that everything changes.

He lost his career, he lost his fiance, he lost everything. Until the moment that he got the information that Drake uses humans as guinea pigs and wants to do something about that. Long story short, he ended it up to be the host to Venom, an alien who has only one goal. To destroy Earth ( and eat as many human heads he can ).

My thoughts and spoilers…

First of all, let me tell that I went to the cinema ready to watch a thriller and I ended up in love with Venom. Eddie as a character is already good but with Venom on his body, God… it’s pure gold. Great writing, and awesome dialogues between Eddie and Venom while they’re fighting bad guys. Because you see, Venom decided to help Eddie destroy the real dad guy, Riot who uses Drake as a host, because he really liked Earth… and Eddie.

I will never forget Artemis’ face when Tom Hardy screamed the first time that he saw Venom ( Artemis’ reaction was more fun than Eddie’s ) or when I almost screamed “I HOPE TO PAUSE IT!” when they stopped the film for a small break ( that no one left the room in fear that we will lose something from the plot ).

I totally loved the fact that he gave Eddie relationship advice to help him get back Anne or that Eddie tried to make him eat only really bad people and definitely NOT cops! One of my favourite lines of Venom was the “Tater tots… and chocolate!” when Eddie asked him what he wants to eat. ( That alien is my soul mate, I’m sure about that people ).  In the end, I took a pic with my precious boy of course. ( here, enjoy ) And before I go, if you ever meet him in person… Venom hates to call him “parasite”. He will insist to APOLOGIZE!! and if you’ll not, he will probably kill you. You’re not Eddie after all.
