Hello hello,

Still on my “Game Changers” era, and I couldn’t be happier, more excited, and more glad about this book series. Today we’ll talk about the third book of the series ( you can read my reviews about the previous two here: Game Changer, Heated Rivalry ). “Tough Guy” was absolutely a great reading of mine, and let’s see why.

The story follows Ryan Price, one of the toughest hockey players in the NHL. Used to be on a new team almost every year, wasn’t able to make friends or to care enough for a team. So, he plays, he fights other players and goes home feeling miserable. When he transferred to a new team in Toronto, he never could have imagined coming across Fabian. His teenage crush.

Fabrian had everything figured out in his life. A musical career, growing day by day, friends who support and love him more than anything and a forever hatred for hockey players. The only hockey player that he ever liked, was his teenage crush. Ryan Price. Ryan was always shy and cute and sweet and tall… and he was definately was standing in front of him right now…

My thoughts:

I liked this book a lot! Not as much as the two previous, but a lot! It had a great plot and Rachel, for one more time, made me love those characters and even relate to them. ( I mean, social anxiety=check, book lover=check, readhead=check, lower back pain=check… lol )

The book is definitely spicy, but not as much as the previous ones. Now, even if I loved the characters and I usually like to read sex scenes, on “Tough Guy” I found those scenes way too far from my liking. That’s totally my personal opinion of course, because my friend, for example, loved them.

Of course, Rachel did a great job once more writing about love, struggle, pain and mental health. She has the ability to make you to not wanna stop reading. The main characters are extremely well written and be aware of the small cameos that you’ll get in the book!

The book is a clear 4.3/5 stars for me.
