Hello there my adorable little faces. Today, I will write about a movie that I watched last night. I’m talking about “Tolkien” the movie that it’s talking about the life of the famous professor and writer J.R.R. Tolkien. The man who created a whole world with its own languages and places beyond everyone’s imagination. The man who gave us “The Hobbit” and “The Lord Of The Rings” and the other books all, on the same universe.

The movie had a smart timeline. We see J.R.R. ( Nicholas Hoult ) fighting on World War II and looking for his friend. At the same time though, we go back in time when he was a kid and we see how his life changed after his parents’ death. He and his brother had to go live with a rich old lady who “loved” to help orphans and Ronald ( it was his second name and the one that he used ) had to start school in a really respectful private school for boys.

There, he met three other brilliant young boys who became his best friends. The four of them, Ronald, Robert ( Patrick Gibson ), Geoffrey ( Anthony Boyle ) and Christopher ( Tom Glynn-Carney ) sharing the same passion for the arts, became inseparable. We see how adulthood and the choices that they have to make shape their characters and their lives. Ronald has to choose between college education and the girl that he loves more than anything. The brilliant, beautiful and smart Edith ( Lily Collins ).

What life wasn’t able to do though, to tear the boys’ friendship apart, the war made it. They all went to fight the enemy and those that they came back weren’t the same. We see how guilty Ronald feels and how he almost lost himself… until he came back to his senses and decided to put all his fears and feelings and create something big. Something that will talk about friendship, companionship… fellowship.

The movie was really nice and if you have 1h and 52m to spare in your life I totally recommend it to you. I don’t think that you’ll regret it. Especially ( if not adore ) but at least like the world about the Hobbits and the Elves etc which he created.

The young actors who played the characters of Tolkien’s and his friends’ were those:  Ronald ( Harry Gilby ), Robert ( Albie Marber ), Christopher ( Ty Tennant ), Geoffrey ( Adam Bregman ) and Edith ( Mimi Keene).
Fun fact: If the name of young’s Christopher rings any bells, it’s because he is the son of Georgia Moffett and David Tennant’s. Yes, yes… the Tenth actor who played “Doctor Who”.
