The Green Witch by Arin Murphy-Hiscock.

Hello there my dear little faces. Today we have a review for a book after so long time. To be honest, I’m reading a book since last year ( telling the truth here ) but it’s h u g e and I’m reading only at night, before bed and that’s the reason I haven’t finished anything else since then.

A few weeks ago though I decided that I had to do something with that. I kept reading the huge and heavy book before bed and started taking with me at work another one, smaller. I found out that reading on the metro helps me not only to relax but feel more productive the whole day. But let’s move on to actually talk about the book that I read.

Of course, I’m talking about The Green Witch, Your complete guide to the natural magic of herbs, flowers, essential oils, and more by Arin Murphy-Hiscock. Truth be told I didn’t know this book before a friend of mine gifted it to me. If you know me, then you know that I love nature and witches and she thought that it could be a nice combination. And it was… kinda.

The book talks about how the Green witches in the 21st century have adopted the life of living in cities and how they can still practice their magic and still feel connecting to nature and their powers. It gives nice solutions for growing your own herbs if you have the place to do that and gives you the motivation to even go to the nearest park and just take a moment to connect with nature.

The wThe writer gives some alternatives to some things that the witches may have changed or try and she also gives some interesting recipes for the magical potions, teas, or cooking recipes. A few magical charms, bath salts, balms, and more things like that. I hadn’t the time to try some of them but I really wanna try some of the decoctions, teas, and food recipes. ( I will let you know about them as soon as I’ll try them out. )

I found the book really nice, even if sometimes the writer was repeating some things more than once even if she could avoid it, in my opinion. It’s a nice written book and if you like witches, nature, herbs and you want to try something “new” you’ll probably find it interesting. It was my first time reading something from this writer but I think that it’ll not be the last one.

It’s a 4/5 ⭐️ from me.

Let me know what you think about the post in the comments below. Until next time…

xx Marilita
