The Eclipse: review ( no spoilers )

The Eclipse is a 2022 Thai production of channel GMM25.

The story begins when Aye’s uncle, who works as a teacher in a private school, decides to commit suicide. Aye is terribly hurt after the death of his beloved uncle, and he holds the school and his uncle’s colleagues responsible for what happened. So, he decides to attend the school himself in order to learn all its dark secrets and reveal the truth to everyone.

From the very first moment he sets foot in college he realizes that things are worse than he imagined. The strict rules established by the board, as well as an elite group of students who are responsible for the proper running of the school, are just a few of the things he has to deal with.

However, things take a turn for the worse when a group of students begins to resist the school’s harsh rules and start protesting for their rights. The curse that has haunted the school for years returns, putting them all in danger, and Aye has to face Akk, the school’s top student and leader of the elite group that the school council has created.

My opinion:

A clever script and a strong dose of well-written plot twists make the series quite interesting for whoever decides to watch it. The chemistry between the two protagonists is undeniable, and their acting talent is visible from the very first minutes.

The series consists of one season with a total of 12 45-minute episodes.

It’s an 8.2/10 from me.

Let me know what you think about the series in the comments below. Until the next time…
