Hello – hello my little faces. Today I will talk to you about another webtoon that Netflix turned into a live-action. Sweet Home is a thriller with a huge dose of fantasy that I’m pretty sure you’ll find it really interesting.

After Cha Hyun-Su lost his parents and his sister in a car accident is forced to leave his home and move to another building in another neighborhood. Suffering from depression after some serious incidents of bullying, when he was in high school, Hyun-Su spends his days alone, waiting for the date that he has set to commit suicide.
Out of nowhere, a virus starts spreading and people start to change into high intelligent monsters who feed on humans. Hyun-Su and the other tenants of his building team up in order to survive. Different personalities, different backgrounds, different way of lives but one goal. To stay alive. Will they make it?

My thoughts:
Ok, I’ll speak the truth. I started watching the show the day that it aired but I didn’t like it. I watched the first 3 episodes and I was so disappointed with the CGI. The script, the acting, cinematography, and everything else were fine… but the CGI wasn’t and bothered me so much! So, I decided to put it on “pause” and return later and it was a great decision.
Returning to watch it after some rom-coms and wanted something more adventurous it was how it worked for me. The CGI kept being not great but it was my last problem. I focused on the characters, on their journey, and on the greater picture of the show and I really enjoyed it. The series is a good choice for binge-watching but come prepared before you started it.

My personal favorite monster was this dude over here. I hate this little brat so much.

The series consists of 10 episodes of 1 hour per episode and it’s available on Netflix.
It’s a 8/10 from me.
Let me know what you think about the post in the comments below. Until next time…

I thought the CGI was one of the show’s stronger points. It’s interesting to hear a different point of view
I heard the same opinion as yours from other people as well. It’s indeed interesting how we all have different opinions. I have to say that in some scenes I liked them a lot. Especially on the last episode on the “wing” scene ( I don’t wanna spoil anything for others lol ). But in general, wasn’t the stronger element of the series for me. Thank you for your comment. xx
