Hello hello again,

As I promised ( let’s hope that I’ll keep this promise ), I’m back with the review of the second episode. After an absolutely amazing first episode, we’re back with “The Practice”.

In the second episode, we see Garrett and Hannah trying to make a plan. If they want their fake dating to be believable to people, they need to convince Jules. Logan’s youngest sibling, who runs “The Five Lines”, campus’s gossip Instagram account. I don’t know why we needed a younger sibling for Logan, since in the books, he has only an older brother, but I hope that this will work in our favor later in his story.

Hannah starts tutoring him, but her biggest concern is that people will start calling her “puck bunny”. ( I mean, same girl hahaha ). I liked that they kept the scene where someone keeps texting him and she casually took his phone and just texted back to stop. – Queen! –

I was waiting to meet Sean, Allie’s boyfriend and I will never understand how she ended up being in love with that… boring guy. I mean, she tries to make a conversation about their relationship and their sex life, which apparently is not at its best and the guy doesn’t get it! Dude, when Allie wants something, you give it to her. No questions asked.

We see Garrett pretending to be a lovely boyfriend, gets Hannah coffee ( and the guy couldn’t choose a more wrong coffee order hahahaha ) and walks into the class all “sorry I’m late, I had to bring coffee to my girl” ( I instantly fall in love. ). They are trying to get Justin’s attention and she knocks off Garrett’s water bottle by accident. Garrett’s “Now he’s looking” after that was the best. I’m not sure that I will stop finding this scene hilarious the next 100 years.

The two of them practice, because he insists that every time he touches her, Hannah blushes. She kisses him to prove to him that this is not true, while Logan enters the gym and she kisses him as well to make a point that kissing means nothing. Now, that happened with Dean! But, with the whole side story in the series that Logan already has a crush on her, it makes total sense. I can’t see my boy being hurt though…

Hannah and Garrett go together to Dean and Beau’s birthday party and she tells him that she doesn’t drink at parties. He immediately tries to find something that she’ll be able to drink. ( I’m okay… not )

Meanwhile, Dean sees Allie at the party and the biggest womanizer on campus loses his shit. The boy is gone! ( No one blames you my man ). At the same times, Justin came to the party ( I almost forgot about him, oops ) and Garrett takes Hannah to a room for “hot fake sex” as Allie had mentioned earlier.

One of my favorite scenes of the first season is the one-bed trope that we got, because this was amazing! They argue about who is gonna sleep on the floor and they ended up both on the floor. At least, until they started talking and ended up on the bed watching YouTube videos and they fell asleep. I’m a sucker for spooning scenes. Thank you for this, my dear writers.

She tells him that if she doesn’t make it with the scholarship, she’ll have to leave Briar and he literally panics. I mean, we are able to see his mind going blind. This guy is already deep. I’m sorry, I mean definitely not head over heels. And of course, he is not jealous at all when he sees Hannah talking with Justin. Not even a little bit.

And that people was another excellent episode. Not a copy-paste of the book, but a great adaptation and at some points maybe even better in my opinion.

I love that we see Dean and Beau’s friendship so much because in the books, we know that they are best friends but Beau is not so present. Another thing I adore is that Garrett and Hannah know each other like 3 seconds and they trust each other to talk about everything.

Last but not least, I’d like to thank the writers again for the workout scenes in this series. I mean, working out is important for our health ( says while eating her burger and drooling on her laptop ).

It’s a 8.7/10 from me.
