La Pluie’s main trope is about soulmates! Basically, a part of the population has a hearing loss disease in which every time it rains they lose the ability of hearing but they’re able to hear only their soulmate.

Tai is strangling with this disease for years since his parents ( who are also soulmates ) decided to divorce. Tai stopped believing in soulmates and every time that it rains and his soulmate tries to have a conversation with him, he just stays silent.

When he meets Patt at a cafe and they share the table he immediately feels attracted to him but things get more complicated when he realizes that Patt is actually his soulmate.

Meanwhile, when Tien, Tai’s younger brother, is forced to work on a school project with his big enemy, Lamfon, things will start getting confusing the moment that Lamfon will start having feelings for Tai.

I really liked this series. It had its “bad” moments with some unnecessary misunderstandings but I get it…, some people love drama, and it was something manageable and it didn’t bother me too much. I loved all the rain scenes since they fed me with way too many umbrella scenes with my ships ( lol ), and I really liked that they managed to pass on to the audience the “loneliness” that they felt when it was raining.

Personally, I liked the second couple ( Lomfon & Tien ) more, and I liked how they wrote their relationship. I literally had heart eyes every time that they were on my screen and I’d like to see those two in other projects together as well. Their chemistry was really good.

I’m not sure if they have something in store about those two since the series ended with Tien losing his hearing when started raining and heard his soulmate, but I laughed way too much seeing Tien’s reaction. He was like “Dude? Seriously now?” I, on the other hand, was in denial and for about five minutes I was like “No, that didn’t happen… nope…” but IF give me more about those two, I’ll watch ( yes, I’m that kind of person ). 

From me, it’s definitely an 8.2/10!
