Hello – hello my little faces. The series we will talk about today is called A tale of thousand stars and is a Thai production of 2021.

A tale of thousand stars: Review ( χωρίς spoilers )

When Torfun, a volunteer teacher in a small village, is killed in a tragic accident, her heart is transplanted to young college student Tian. Tian has a completely different character from Torfun. He is only interested in how he will have a good time, indifferent to everyone and everything. But everything changes the time the sweet teacher’s heart starts beating in his body.

Determined to find out who’s the one who gave him back his life, he discovers Torfun’s name and when he visits her house he finds her diary. Wanting to thank her even in this way he decides to make the girl’s unfulfilled dreams come true.

The first step to achieving this, however, is to become a volunteer teacher in the small village as well. At first, he thought that the difficult part would be to be able to be accepted, but what he did not expect was the treatment of the villagers who are not very receptive to foreigners.

Will Tian be able to win their love so that he can keep the promise he made to the young girl? And what happens when he discovers that the feelings he begins to have for Phupha, the village governor, are more than friendly?

My thoughts:

The series is a cheap productuction but the result they want to pass on to the viewer is quite beautiful. There are no CGIs and most of it has been filmed in the countryside offering us beautiful images with series’ village coming to life before our eyes.

The script is quite well written and the messages it wants to pass touch the viewer. Love and the search for yourself are just some of them while the cast interpretations are quite remarkable. Maybe if they had more money available we would see more things but even so, personally, the result left me satisfied.

Fun fact: If you watch the official trailer and the series you’ll notice that some scenes have been reshooted.

It’s a 7.4/10 from me.
