Hello there my adorable little faces. A while ago I wrote a post about one of my favorite crime series at the moment “9-1-1” ( you can read it here ) so now, it’s time to write about its new spin-off series ( that I equally adore ) “9-1-1: Lone Star”, both aired on FOX.
This post contains a few spoilers.
After a tragic accident, Firehouse 126 lost all of his firefighters, except their captain Judd Ryder ( Jim Parrack ). Judd is away from duty for a while in order to heal his wounds, physical and emotional ones and his bosses ask from Owen Strand ( Rob Lowe ) a 9/11 firefighter survivor to come in Texas and re-open the station. With him comes to Texas his firefighter son as well, T.K. ( Ronen Rubinstein ) and together recruit some of the most badass people that you’ll ever meet.
Marjan Marwani ( Natacha Karam ) the beautiful but fearless Muslim firefighter who became viral, Paul Strickland ( Brian Michael Smith ) who tried really hard to find a firehouse to call home, Judd himself and some other kickass characters complete the team. Alongside the captain of the paramedic, Michelle Blake ( Liv Tyler ) and the police officer Carlos Reyes (Rafael Silva ).
Of course, no one’s life is perfect. Judd is still in pain for his brothers, Owen is really sick and T.K. is an addict who tries to stay on track. Marjan’s people force her to choose between her job and her faith, Paul is still afraid that people will not accept him for who he truly is and Michelle will never stop trying to find what happened to her sister.
But, every series that respect itself has and its otps. Couples who look at them and immediately own your soul. 9-1-1: Lone Star has #Tarlos ( T.K. & Carlos ) and if you believe that it would be all rainbows and unicorns, you’re on the wrong show. I mean, those two are on fire!! but, I guess that they’ll burn our souls before ending up together and I’m totally fine with that.
The series is brand new with only its first three episodes to have been aired. Give it a try and you can thank me later.
