Hello – hello my little faces. “The bride of Habaek” is a romantic South Korean fantasy series of 2017. With Nam Joo-hyuk and Shin Se-Kyung in the two leading roles.

The story begins when Habaek, the God of Water, comes to Earth to find a stone that will help him be crowned king of the gods. But in order to survive in a world he does not know, he must seek the help of the family of humans whom they have sworn him allegiance for centuries.

When he meets the only living descendant of his servants he is confronted by the psychologist SoAn who not only does not believe that Habaek is God but is sure that he suffers from a mental disorder.

Without his powers and with the sole help of his unbearable but also Gods friends, Mura and Biryeom, Habaek must find out where the magic stone he is looking for is before it is too late and lose his throne forever. Everything goes according to plan when he starts falling in love with SoAn and in order to help her he is willing to do anything without caring about the consequences.

My thoughts:

An interesting plot, with special characters and references to mental health issues, the series manages to keep the viewer from the very first minutes. Ideal for binge-watching or for an episode at time this series will definitely give you some beautiful moments if you are a fan of the romantic element with a dose of fantasy.

The series consists of a total of 16 one-hour episodes and is available on Netflix. You can also find her with the title “The bride of the water god”.
