Sisyphus: The myth – review ( no spoilers )

Hello – hello my little faces. Today, we’ll talk about Sisyphus which in recent days has appeared in the top 10 of many countries on Netflix, is a South Korean production of 2021 and has some references to the Greek myth of Sisyphus.

Netflix K-drama Sisyphus: The Myth – escapist fun as sci-fi action-drama series kicks off with outrageous set pieces | South China Morning Post

The series takes place between two time periods. The story begins with Gang SeoHae who travels from post-war 2035 back in time to 2020. Her mission is one. To find the genius Han TaeSul and prevent him from making the time machine he designs, which is the reason for the war.

No one can be trusted in this mission. There are many who want Han TaeSul dead. Anyone could be member of the Control Bueau while the same goes for the bad guy in the story, Sigma! However, in a war you need allies and she will find help in the person of Choi JaeSun but also in people she never expected.

Will SeoHae be able to prevent TaeSul from building the machine? You should watch the series to find out…

My thoughts:

The plot of the series is quite interesting, although it develops a little slowly in the first episodes, on the next ones the developments are fast. The battle scenes, especially those that take place in the future, are perfectly choreographed reminiscent of a video game in some places ( and I say that in a good way ) like SeoHae which is really very well written, and a bit unreal, reminiscent as I said above a video game hero.

The series is available on Netflix and has 16 episodes in total lasting about an hour each.

It’s a 7.8/10 from me.

Let me know what you think about the post in the comments below. Until next time…
