Saphirblau / Sapphire Blue (2014)

Hello there my beautiful little faces. Today I will talk you about a movie… again!! Saphirblau ( English title; Sapphire Blue ) is based on the second book of the Rubinrot Trilogy by Kerstin Gier. It’s a German production and you can find the movie with English subtitles. You can watch the trailer here. Also, you can read my post about the first movie, Rubinrot, here.

IT’S SPOILER TIME!!!!!!

After the events of the first movie, Gwen and Gideon are in love and happy but nothing lasts forever some people say. When he sees her being really close with Paul de Villiers he believes that she betrayed him and he is really hurt. This is the reason that he starts acting weird around her and believes that Count Saint-Germain was right about her, that her only purpose was to make him do whatever she wants.

Gwen finally has the opportunity to find the lost chronograph with her grandpapa’s help. She uses it to go back in time so she can talk with Paul and Lucy that they finally tell her the truth. Apparently, she is so important because she is their daughter and being a child of two people with the same gene makes you really strong. The person that finds her after that heartbreaking news isn’t anyone else than Gideon. He promises to her that he will be always by her side and that together can do anything.

The two of them start working behind the back of Count Saint-Germain but he tells Gwen that he was the one who ordered Gideon make her fall in love with him so they can control her. Gwen with her heart broke again asks Gideon to tell her the truth and he admits it. He doesn’t tell her how much he loves her or that he promised to Paul to save her even if he sacrifices himself in the process though.

Now, these two are apart, loving each other more than anything and trying to protect one another without even the other person knowing. Will they manage to do it? Will they find their way back to each other? Or Count Saint-German’ s plans to rule the world will be successful?

Tell me in the comments below, or on my facebook page, if you have read the books, watched the movies ( or both ) and what you think about the Saphirblau. Did you like it or not? If this is the first time that you hear about this series, did I managed to make you want to read/watch it? Come on, let me know… Until next time…

xx Marilita.
