Radio Romance: review ( no spoilers )

Hello there little faces. Today, we will talk about another kdrama. Radio Romance is a romantic Korean comedy of 2018, starring Yoon Doo-joon and Kim So-hyun.

Ji Soo-ho grew up in the perfect family. With parents who always supported him and were by his side in every step of becoming an actor since he was a child. Now, he has managed to close the best collaborations for TV series and movies while his fans adore him. Everyone thinks he’s the sweetest man on TV… except Song Geu-rim. Which can see that something is wrong with him.

Song Geu-rim has loved radio since she was a child and her dream was to become a radio screenwriter, something she achieved… kinda. For five years she worked as an assistant screenwriter on a successful radio show until everything changed. The DJ of the show suddenly resigned leaving everyone without a job. Now, Geu-rim is forced in order not to lose her job to convince the famous but snobby actor Ji Soo-ho to become the new DJ of her show.

Will Geu-rim be able to persuade Soo-ho to work with her on “Radio Romance”? And if so, to what extent will it be possible for them to work together since they hate each other?

MY THOUGHTS.

The series is clearly aimed at those who want to see a romantic comedy with minimal anxiety about what will happen next. The ending is completely predictable but does not make the series any less interesting. It is a very sweet series that manages to pass its messages for the spectacle area but also for everyday problems that we all face every day.

The script is quite clever sometimes and the performances of the actors are quite remarkable. It may not be the best choice for binge-watching but if you want to see something sweet to relax on it is definitely a series I recommend.

The series consists of 16 episodes of about an hour each and is available on Netflix.
