Prodigal Son: review season 2 ( no spoilers )

Hello there my little faces. After an amazing first season, which was abruptly interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic, he returned with his second season, which started just as energetically.

The main story continued from where it left off, with the Whitly family entangled in trying to cover up the murder of Nicholas Endicott, while at the same time new faces appeared. The rest of the series almost always independent gave us some of the best detective stories of the year.

The main cast which had remained the same from the beginning gave in turn a family note to the season as they were all tied up and it showed. Excellent performances and great direction while the script was getting better as the episodes went on.

The highlight of the season came with episode 13 which was also the last episode of the season which ended with an amazing cliffhanger which would keep us in suspense all summer long for the sequel. But something like that will not going to happen as the channel canceled the series a few days ago.

Of course the producers are trying to find a “new home” for the series but at the moment we do not have any good news.

It’s a 9/10 from me and it’s a shame that we’ll not see this series again.

Let me know what you think about the post in the comments below. Until next time…

xx Marilita.
