Hello little faces and have a lovely week. Today I decided to talk to you about one of my favourites movies. Leap Year is a rom-com. I don’t even know how many times I have watched it. Every time that I need to watch something cute, or I need to feel better, or I want to laugh… I watch this. And every time this movie makes me feel better.
Beware the spoilers… I wrote many of them… sorry?
Anna ( Amy Adams ), is in a long time relationship with Jeremy ( Adam Scott ). When Jeremy asks her to join him for dinner on a really nice restaurant and Anna’s friend, Libby, tells her that she saw him walking out of a jewellery store she is sure that he will pop up THE question. He didn’t though. He just told her that he has to go to Dublin for a convention and gave her a pair of earrings. ( really dude? )
Really upset, Anna decides to go to Dublin and to follows an old tradition which wants the ladies at 29th of February on a leap year asking their man to marry them. Everything goes to Hell though. First, her flight makes an emergency landing, she has no way to go to Dublin and she pays someone with a boat to get her somewhere near to her destination. She ends up on a small village with her only option for a transfer of the rude owner of the pub, Declan ( Matthew Goode ).
The two of them, and Luis ( lol ), start their long journey. But Anna’s bad luck didn’t end there. They lost their car, they walked for miles, then they lost the train. They had to pretend that they are married and they crashed a wedding. And these are only a few of their adventures.
In the end, they finally made it to Dublin and to Jeremy. But the thing is, is Anna the same after her trip? Will Declan tells her his truth before it’s too late? Will Jeremy and Anna have a happily ever after on their new super lux apartment?
What they would grab if the building was on fire and they had only 60 seconds to get out though?
Let me know if you have watched this movie. Do you like it? It’s the first time that you hear about it? Do you want to see it after my post? Tell me in the comments below or on my facebook page. Until next time…
xx Marilita.
