Hello there my little faces. Today, I will talk to you about “Kiralik Ask” ( Love for rent ). It’s a really famous Turkish tv-series and I only find it by accident on youtube when I was searching for something completely different. I saw the trailer and clicked it because I thought that it was the thing that I was looking for. Short story long, I was hooked.!

The story with mini spoilers.

Defne ( Elçin Sangu ) is a waitress in a restaurant working alongside her best friend Nihan ( Sanem Yeles ). She has a huge crush on “Risotto Sinan” as they call one of their customers but he hasn’t the same feelings for her. Sinan ( Salih Bademci ) on the other side has a huge crush on his co-worker  Yasemin ( Sinem Uslu ) but she wants Sinan’s best friend and partner on their business, Ömer ( Baris Arduç ). Ömer, on the other hand, has no feelings for no one! As Koray ( Onur Büyüktopçu ) often says has a frozen heart. When Ömer’s aunt Neriman ( Nergis Kumbasar ) takes an order from her father in law to arrange a marriage for his grandson or else he gonna take back from them all their money starts arranging dates for Ömer. He tries to avoid them all or when he can’t do this, to destroy any chance for the girl for a second date.

That was the plan that day at the restaurant that Defne works as well. When Ömer sees that his date is way more than awful acts without thinks twice. Grabs Defne, calling her “His love”, and kisses her in front of his date. His plan worked, with the girl running away crying but Defne slapped him, really hard before he leaves her behind. Both of them can’t forget the kiss but, it was something that happened once and will never happen again…

When Defne returns home, the news is awful. Her brother Serdar ( Osman Akca ) has a huge debt and the bad guys inform Defne that if she can’t find the money in the next hours they gonna kill him. Defne with her friends Nihan and Ismail ( Kerem Firtina ) trying to find a solution with no result until Neriman herself, who had seen the kiss, pays our girl a visit.

She offers her a huge amount of money in order to make her nephew, without telling her his name or show her a picture, fall in love with her and marry her in the next six months. Defne with no other option accepts the money and starts working for that mysterious guy as his assistant. What will happen though, when the very first-day Ömer and Defne see each other and of course recognize one another?

My thoughts.

The series was awesome! I couldn’t watch anything else until I finished it! Sangu and Arduç’s chemistry is out of this world! Truth be told is that some parts of the episodes ( who lasts 2 hours give or take each ) were kinda boring but I can get it when an episode is so long. The story maybe is a total cliche and we all know what will happen soon or later ( loveeeeeee, or in Turkish Ask!!!! ) but it was perfectly written and I totally enjoyed it! I pray to tv Gods for these two to book on other series as the main couple again soon because they’re gold! Of course, I recommend it to you and can’t wait to tell me your thoughts.
