When “Coach”, the biology professor makes Patch sit next to Nora Grey everything chances. Soon, she will figure out that not only he doesn’t care about to get an A on their project but that he also, literally, knows everything about her… and that kinda creeps her out. Who he really is? Why he is everywhere that she’s going… and how he knows so much about her?

Fallen Angels is one of my favorite book themes so, when I found out about Fitzpatrick’s books I had to read them. The first one of the series is the “Hush, Hush” and I really had a feeling that I’ll like it… and I was right.
Truth be told, when I started reading it and Patch showed up I wanted to slap him in the face at least five times through one paragraph… and that means one thing. I had already fallen in love with him.
I will not gonna lie, it was a little bit creepy that he knew all those things about Nora but it would make sense later, when I figured out that he was literally could read her thoughts and stalking her because he wanted to kill her in order to become human. Well, at least the moment that he fell in love with her.
I loved the moment that he started calling her “Angel” so much. ( I’m a romantic, sue me. ) Since the beginning, I was sure that Patch wasn’t the actual bad guy and I was right ( again ). Something I didn’t expect though was to have more that one psycho in one book.!
First of all, I could see from the very first moment that Elliot was hiding something. But who could tell me that the actual bad guys were Jules ( or I should call him Chauncey ) who was in reality Patch’s vessel and Nora’s ancestor – and I Nephelim -. And because as I said one psycho wasn’t enough Miss Greene ( aka Dabria ) the actual Angel of Death, and Patch’s ex, came to Earth to kill Nora because she wanted Patch for herself.
It took me by surprise the fact that Nora killed herself in order for Chauncey to die, and Patch to become human. I thought that Patch would managed to save her but nope… He indeed saved her though when he refused to accept her sucrifice and she came back to life and Patch, because saved a human life, become a guardian angel. Her guardian angel.
The first book was pretty good and it had me on edge until the very last moment. Fitzpatrick made it to make me fall in love with Patch and Nora ( ok, a little bit more with Patch ) and I will definitely read the other ones of the book series.
Let me know what you think about the post in the comments below. Have you read the book? Until next time…
xx Marilita.
