Hello there my little faces. Today will talk about another kdrama. The english title is Goblin ( original title: Sseulsseulhago Chalranhashin: Dokkaebi ) but it’s known as well as Goblin: the lonely and great god, the series is produced in 2016.

The story begins about 900 years ago when General Kim Shin ( Gong Yoo ) is falsely accused by the king’s right hand of treason. King Wang Yeo ( Kim Minjae ) is blinded by the pain as Kim Shin was his most trusted general and decides to execute him and his entire family. Kim Shin comes back to life as a Goblin by God for his unjust execution in order to protect and help mortals.

About 900 years later Goblim decides to save a pregnant woman who was hit by a passing car and abandoned. Fate seals the woman’s baby to grow up and become Ji Eun-tak ( Kim Goeun ) who has the power to see ghosts. She is known as “Goblin’s Bride” and is written to fall in love. But fate always hides unpleasant surprises.

The story is quite interesting with the romance and the funny scenes having a dominant word since it is not an action series but it flows a little slowly. The protagonist couple have a lot of chemistry and offer an interesting spectacle, but personally their co-stars won me over more.

I believe that the story of Grim Reaper ( Lee Dong Wook ) and Sanny ( Yoo Inna ) has more depth and messages to go through than that of the main couple. It speaks of strong love, that which can blind you and make you do things you did not know you were capable of doing… but also of the guilt, remorse and pain that your actions will result in. It shows us if there can be forgiveness or not and to what extent and really if these two were the protagonists I think I would have liked the series more.

The series has one season with 16 episodes.
