Hello hello…
After a beautiful first book, ( Wild Love ), Elsie Silver returns with her second book in the “Rose Hill” book series and I’m here to tell you all about that. Buckle up because it will be a great ride.
Skylar Stone grew up being America’s sweetheart. Being a famous singer since she was a child and having her parents manage everything was a huge shot to the gut when she found out that they had intentionally made her sign contracts that gave them the biggest shares of her work. And as it was enough finding out that your own parents see you as their personal ATM, she also found out that her recent boyfriend was with her because her dad was paying him.
After she contacted Ford Grant Junior’s recording studio, she left everything behind and went to Canada, to a small town named “Rose Hill”, to find him and work together.
The last person Weston Belmont was expected to meet on the side of the road was Skylar Stone, his ultimate favorite singer and celebrity crush. He stopped to warn that stupid tourist that the bear she was filming was ready to eat her alive and now he was pressing his body against Skyler’s to protect her.
My thoughts:
West Belmont is way better and mature person than me, because I wouldn’t be that cool if I met my celebrity crush ( a.k.a Kim Namjoon ). But he managed to stay cool and lived everyone’s delulu dreams, falling in love with Sky.
Elsie managed to create such cool characters once more. I really loved them both, and his kids Ollie and Emmy. I hate Skylar’s parents, especially her dad, so much. I wish we had seen what happened with them, but it’s okay. They didn’t deserve more screen time anyways.
Seeing Rosie and Ford again was sweet and we also got a small sneak peek at the next book’s couple. ( You know how I love it when writers do that ).
I will not gonna lie, I was so sad after the scandal that made Sky to leave… But I loved the fact that he went to find her and she was already ready to go back to him.
I’m not sure that I like that she decided to stop being a singer, but I hope we’ll see her become a songwriter at least. She loves that way too much to stop, and she could definitely write songs for Ford’s clients.
It’s a 4.5/5 stars from me.
