Your Sky Review (no spoilers)

Hello buddies! Are you feeling romantic today? If yes, I have another one of my favourite BLs to share with you – and if not, don’t worry, you can also find plenty of non-romantic content on our blog! Now, let’s continue with my opinion about Your Sky.

Your Sky (2024-2025)
Country: Thailand
Episodes: 12 (~45’ each)
Genres
: Romance, Youth
My Rating: 7.5/10

Main Cast

Kong Kongpob as Teerak
Thomas Teetut as Muenfah
Auau Thanaphum as Real
Save Worapong as Hia

Plot
Teerak is a university student with a major problem: he’s not able to avoid situations he doesn’t like, nor can he easily say “No.” Someone is strongly hitting on him, and Muenfah, his best friend’s brother, offers to pretend to be his boyfriend to save him from the situation. Muenfah is very popular, and everyone believes he’s out of reach.

But the truth is, only the people who truly know you understand who you really are and these two are proof of that. When they’re forced to spend more time together, they slowly realise that they might not be as different as they thought.

Main Couple

Ok, let me start by saying that the second-hand embarrassment is VERY strong with this couple. I watched half of the series hiding inside my shirt, but I enjoyed their development so much. What I loved the most is how they grew throughout the series, sometimes on their own, sometimes by helping each other, while always staying true to themselves.

They’re awkward, they’re shy, they’re cute, they’re extremely romantic… and I think these things make them a very realistic couple. They always support one another and constantly try to help each other improve their weak points.

Their chemistry is top-notch, and the progression of their relationship is beautiful to watch. You can feel every scene — whether it’s an awkward one or a very hot one. Especially the latter ones… they can truly take your breath away, even when you don’t expect it. I also liked how both protagonists took the lead in different moments.

Second Couple

Yes, there is something even more painful than the main couple’s progression — and that is definitely the second couple. Real and Hia are just two best friends. Just… two best friends who constantly flirt and are so clueless about it that it drives you insane. Like, really insane.

But I’m a sucker for a good friends-to-lovers story, and I love them. With all my heart. Let them be happy together forever. That’s all I wanted to say.

Family

I really liked the family bonding in the series. Both Teerak’s sister and Muenfah’s brother were the first to learn about their fake relationship, and they were supportive throughout. Watching the way they helped them was very heartwarming.

They’re also close to their parents and always discuss their thoughts and problems. Muenfah’s parents are very supportive. Τhey let their children follow their own path, and the brothers give that support back whenever needed. Teerak’s family is also very close. Their approach to Teerak and Muenfah’s relationship was different, and even though I didn’t like it at first, I found it realistic.

Even when the guy who was hitting on Teerak revealed his true colours, the focus was on his family environment and how he was trying to seek attention through bad actions.

Conclusion

Your Sky is a series that focuses a lot on its characters, and it delivers many meaningful messages through them. It’s cute to want to become the best version of yourself for someone, but learning to love yourself as you are is just as important. We need to stop assuming the worst about ourselves and accept that nobody is perfect — everyone deserves to be loved. We must give ourselves a chance and do something now rather than regret not doing it later.

Communication is also a very big theme in the series. I liked that they highlighted the importance of learning to say “no” and how it can affect your life.

Overall, it’s a very cute series. Yes, it can be a bit cringe sometimes, but honestly, with these two, it always makes sense.

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments! And if you want, feel free to subscribe for more!

Thanks for reading,
