Wild Love by Elsie Silver

Hello hello,

Another day, another book review… and this time we will talk about the first book of “Rose Hill” book series by Elsie Silver, “Wild Love”. “Rose Hill” is the spin-off series of “Chestnut Springs” and spoiler alert, I have finished all of them and I totally liked it! But let’s talk about the book.

Ford Grant Junior is done living in Vancouver, trying to live a life that’s not for him. Being a billionaire, has its perks though. As to be able to move out to your best friend’s, West, hometown… Where you used to spend your childhood summers and start a new business from scratch.

He had everything planned, except for two major things that came and crushed his plans.
a) A twelve-year-old girl named Cora, telling him that she is his daughter… and
b) Rosie fucking Belmont, West’s little sister, and the love of his life, returning to Rose Hill.

Now, he has to help his daughter, while her mom is away, and try his best not to fall further in love with Rosie while she starts working with him. A task more demanding than he thought at first.

At the same time, Rosie, who had to “run away” after her boss sexually assaulted her ( she’s not a rape victim, but in some cases maybe is a trigger ) and then fired her, finds herself starting to realize that she never actually hated Ford Gtant Junior. Plus, falling deeply in love with him was definitely not on her bingo card.

My thoughts:

I have finally come to an understanding that when a couple “bully” each other, but not actually bully each other, is my favorite kind of ship ( maybe I like it as much as I like the “enemies to lovers” trope ).

The book was really well written and the main characters, including Cora, were perfect! Rosie and Ford just took a place on my top 3 ships of Elsie Silver’s couples, right after Winter – Theo and Willa – Cade.

Plus, let’s not forget that she is the first author who managed to make me like the “single dad” trope so much! Until now, I was on a scale from NO to MAYBE but Silver’s single dads are to die for! As I already told you, I have read the rest of the series, so I know that all the books are pretty awesome and I can’t wait to introduce them to you!!

It’s a 4.5/5 stars from me.

Let me know what you think about the book in the comments below. Also, don’t forget to subscribe to never miss an update from us!

Until next time…

xx pixie.
